From March British council and BP start to introduce English language at level of Azerbaijani communities
Starting from March the British Council and BP are to begin introducing English language at the level of Azerbaijani communities.
The Baku Education Department reports that their project "English for Communities" will cover 10 regions of the country and settlements in Garadagh district of Baku, lying along the BP pipelines. Introduction of English language will be conducted through improving the skills of English language teachers in local schools. For this, they will pass 120-hour training courses and learn new teaching methods. The training will last until August-September.
In February it is planned to complete the selection of teachers of six Garadagh district schools, who will pass re-training courses.
